OUR PASTOR

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Matthew 9:36

Pastor Keith Babb III

Having grown up in what is more commonly known as the “The Muck”, Pastor Keith is all too familiar with living in a community plagued with poverty and crime. About 30 miles west of West Palm Beach, Florida, “The Muck” is comprised of several rural cities, to include South Bay, Belle Glade, and Pahokee yet despite his childhood environment, God’s plan for Pastor Keith’s life began to take shape. In a small, 20 member church, Pastor Keith gave his life to Christ at the tender age of 12. While his praying family members and small community church helped plant the seeds of Pastor Keith’s faith, it would be years before a true grounding of his faith would take place.

After dealing with numerous bouts of immaturity, lawlessness and fornication, one Sunday morning in 2005 God began to tug on the heart of Pastor Keith. A tugging that he later defined as a call, in which God was beckoning him to return to a committed relationship with Christ. It was from that very place of hopelessness that Pastor Keith’s life truly began to a make a turn, a turn for the better. Having lost his way, Pastor Keith was soon certain that God was calling him back to a place where He could show him the way. It was there that Pastor Keith never looked back again and it is the very reason why he now commits his life to serving and shepherding those that have lost their way as well.

A Shepherd's Heart

Despite all of his accomplishments and academic achievements, Pastor Keith’s heart for the churchless, helpless and hopeless is what defines him best. Matthew 9:36 reveals the reason why he answered the call to pastor and shepherd God’s people: "When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd". That very compassion that exudes from Pastor Keith and the call that is on his life, led him to establish the Way Church of Tampa Bay on January 8, 2017. Pastor Keith along with his wife Sarina have now committed their lives to proclaiming that Jesus and only Jesus, is the way, the truth, and the life!
